Care can range from serious trauma to administering medications. Emergency room nurses must be able to cope with stress and deal with human suffering with professionalism.

My best friend is nearly finished with her nurse training, and she has recently shared some horrific stories about being sexually attacked by her very own patients with me. Interview with Nursing Student at Maryville University

My best friend is nearly finished with her nursing degree, and she is very excited about the opportunity. She attends Maryville University, known for its stellar nursing program and fast track option for nurses to get into the field more quickly. She gave me a few minutes while waiting for her daughter at the bus stop to answer a few questions about this ever-growing career.

100+ Jobs Axed at Nursing Center in Kentucky

In Kentucky today, dozens of lives were impacted by the closure of Arbor Place nursing home in Clinton. Over 100 nurses are left without jobs, which is tragic enough—but almost 100 residents are now homeless as well. All of these people now have their lives up in the air, but it might be for good reason.

A state investigation revealed that many violations were occurring within the nursing center. Many of these broken regulations could have easily resulted in the harm or even death of patients, say sources. The safety of the residents should definitely be the top priority of the center, and if violations have become the norm for workers, then perhaps they do need to seek employment elsewhere—or even in another field. Why is that commercial on so often?

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past year or so, chances are you have experienced the "You're a Nurse - You Make a Difference" commercial that has hit the airwaves hard thanks to Johnson & Johnson. Gosh, that commercial is on entirely too much! I don't even watch TV unless I am in a hotel or something (because I love streaming NetFlix so much), but yet every time in the past 6 months or so when a TV happens to be on it has that commercial.
